You ever wonder why we pay so much in taxes? Well one reason can be found in our funding of "Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), a Paris-based bureaucracy best known for its dry studies, reams of economic statistics, and world-class wine cellar."
This organization gets $400 million a year from 30 countries, including $85 million from the American taxpayers. I am outraged that we are supporting this organization because of what they seek to do. As reported by Human Events,

Paris-Based Bureaucracy Threatens U.S. Pro-Growth Tax Reforms
What few know is that the OECD poses one of the greatest threats to the enactment of pro-growth tax reforms in the United States and across the world. Remarkably, the U.S. contribution has underwritten mountains of studies full of Orwellian language that accord the highest moral standing to those countries that impose the highest tax burdens on its citizens and demonize those that don’t. It focuses on so-called “problems” such as “the role of tax intermediaries (e.g., law and accounting firms, other tax advisors and financial institutions) in relation to … the promotion of unacceptable tax minimization arrangements.

My colleague Dan Mitchell translates this gibberish as: “a handful of bureaucrats in Paris … want to insulate governments from the discipline of market forces.” Bureaucrats, I might add, who (ironically) pay no taxes on their salaries.

The OECD’s ultimate goal, Mitchell believes, is to “undermine tax competition in order to prop up the destructive policies of high-tax welfare states.” Indeed, previous OECD studies have criticized tax competition because it “hampers the … achievement of redistributionist [i.e., socialist] goals.” Low-tax policies, the OECD believes, “unfairly erode the tax bases of other countries and distort the location of capital and services.”

A Cut for Population Control Money?
Not only is our government supporting these bone heads in another Human Events article I read today we are also paying $357 million this year, down from the usual $425 million congress would like to spend, on what is called "population assistance", in layman terms population control, for third world countries. All this government waste to fund secular ideas, policy, and programs. And we are flipping the bill. Americans need to get tough and stand up for what is ours. I remember a party who was born out of one cause "the right that all men are created equal" and today as a country we are torn over so much more then equality and we are not as organized as those brave men and women were.  We need to remember the words of Congressman Davy Crokett to congress in the early 1800's.

“Mr. Speaker, I have as much respect for the
memory of the deceased and as much sympathy
for the suffering of the living as any man in
this House, but we must not permit our respect
for the dead or our sympathy for a part of the
living to lead us into an act of injustice to the
balance of the living. I will not go into an
argument to prove that Congress has no power
to appropriate this money as an act of charity.
Every member upon this floor knows it. We
have the right, as individuals to give away as
much of our own money as we please in
charity, but as members of Congress we have
no right to so appropriate a dollar of the public
money. Some eloquent appeals have been made
to us upon the ground that it is a debt due
the deceased. Sir, this is no debt. We cannot
without the grossest corruption, appropriate
this money as the payment of a debt. We have
not the semblance of authority to appropriate
it as a charity. I cannot vote for this bill, but
I will give one week's pay, and if every member
of Congress will do the same, it will amount
to more than the bill asks.”

Here is a smart idea from the teachers of our defunct public education system, get rid of homework. Great idea so students can have more time playing video games, watching tv, playing online, or even having sex with teachers. Of course this article comes to us from the left coast. And maybe there is proof that not having homework may boost standardized tests, especially when teachers are only teaching them what is on these tests, but it does not foster the idea of lifetime learning. It does not spur our children to do more to learn and get an education through their own efforts. They will learn, as they have been since Dewey, that you only need to do the minimum in order to get by. And of course the elites want this, do you think they want educated people figuring out what is going on in society? Do you think they want students to hunger and thirst for education? Of course not. An educated society would be able to prove flaws in the, as Bill O'Reilly calls them SP's, secular progressive ideology.

After years of teachers piling it on, there's a new movement to ... Abolish homework

"The preponderance of research clearly shows that homework for elementary students does not make a difference in student achievement. It is hard to believe that a strategy used so extensively has no foundation," principal David Ackerman of Oak Knoll Elementary in Menlo Park wrote in a letter to parents this autumn as he put the brakes on homework.

Two new books read like manifestos against what authors consider an avalanche of unproductive take-home assignments. Their titles lay their beliefs on the line: the research critique "The Homework Myth: Why Our Kids Get Too Much of a Bad Thing" by Alfie Kohn, and the more anecdotal "The Case Against Homework: How Homework is Hurting Our Children and What We Can Do About It" by Sara Bennett and Nancy Kalish.

At the same time, an international comparison by two Penn State professors has concluded that junior high students who scored highest in math tended to come from countries where teachers assign relatively little homework -- including Denmark, the Czech Republic and (take note) Japan. Conversely, the lowest-scoring students came from countries where teachers assign tons of homework, such as Iran, Thailand and Greece.

 

I reviewed Rep. Tom Tancredo's book "In Mortal Danger" several weeks ago. I am thankful for Rep. Tancredo because he is the only congressman standing up against illegal immigration. Again Rep. Tancredo is one of the only people standing up against another plan to take over America. Rep. Tancredo and three other members of congress are working to prevent the expansion of the Security and Prosperity Partnership, which is the foundation for the North American Union. No other senators are speaking about this and neither is the MSM.

Tancredo: Halt 'Security and Prosperity Partnership'
"WASHINGTON – Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., has asked Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez in a letter to suspend plans that would further a proposal known as the "Security and Prosperity Partnership," until Congress has a chance to examine its goals.

"I know the administration has given assurances that the SPP is not a veiled effort to create a 'North American Union,' nor an effort designed to dilute American sovereignty by entering into a European Union-like arrangement with Canada and Mexico," said Tancredo, chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus. "Unfortunately, however, [the SPP's] 'recommendations' seem to be at odds with those assurances."

Several alarming "recommendations" from the U.S. component of the "North American Competitive Council" suggested that the U.S., Canada and Mexico "work toward acceptance of equivalent standards, objectives, surveillance and enforcement," Tancredo noted.

In the section on pandemic control, the Council recommends that "…all borders and major roads remain open … to allow the unimpeded flow of domestic and international commerce."

Tancredo said the most troubling recommendations appear in the section entitled "Improving Cross-Border Mobility (Goods/Services/People)." In that section, the NACC recommends "the governments evaluate moving customs processes further inland…to take the pressure off the border," and to examine "harmonizing commercial processes for clearance of commercial shipments."

More people need to know about this issue and speak up against it, if not we will loose our sovereignty. This is the plan, and this program will not give Americans security or prosperity, but will give it to Mexico, Canada, and the rest of the elites in our country and around the world. This was the plan from the beginning. Again I write that it was President Bush I who ushered in, as he called it, the "new world order". It is President Bush II who is working to complete the plan. Think about it, this program was able to bypass Congress through NAFTA, which was brought into being through President Bush I. There is so much to say on this topic it is exhausting, however if we do not get the word out and stand up against this plot we will not only loose our security and prosperity we will no longer be living in the United States of America we will be living in the united states of the North American Union.

More hookers now then before. It has been reported that there are now more hookers in New Orleans then there were before Katrina down on Bourbon Street. Now with the influx of construction workers and others helping with the clean up efforts, prostitutes from around the country are coming (no pun intended) to New Orleans to make a quick buck. Another aspect that has come to play here is that it is hard to bust these law breakers because they are only giving out email addresses in order to filter out the cops. Figures in a town like New Orleans that even the flood waters could not clean up the filth and corruption.

Brooklyn teacher likely to kiss her job goodbye

A Brooklyn teacher inappropriately had two of her young students kiss in class - fostering a relationship that unwittingly helped solve a shooting and likely will cost the instructor her job, authorities said yesterday. Lisa Schmude, 30, a social studies teacher at Intermediate School 259, allegedly set up a boy and girl and encouraged them to smooch in her classroom, according to a report by special schools investigator Richard Condon. The 14-year-old boy later bragged to the girl about shooting another kid two years earlier - and the female student feared the victim was her own brother. Acting on her hunch, the girl showed her brother a photo of the boy she kissed and her brother identified him as the shooter, authorities said. When the girl asked Schmude how to handle the situation, the teacher allegedly said, "Whatever you do, leave me out of it." The 14-year-old boy, whose name was not released because he is a minor, was arrested on attempted murder and robbery charges. He was convicted of robbery last April and is serving up to 10 years at a juvenile facility. Schmude allegedly began her bizarre matchmaking in 2003, when she learned the girl had a crush on the boy. The Dyker Heights teacher even pulled the girl out of another class and took the student to a classroom, where she urged her and the 14-year-old to kiss, investigators said. Schmude continued an overly chummy relationship with the female student, hiring her to type her master's thesis and visiting her home. Schmude called the girl last year and asked her to meet with the boy again, telling her, "Don't wimp out," authorities said. The girl agreed and it was then that the boy boasted about the shooting, authorities said. The teacher's behavior surfaced last spring when she testified at the criminal trial of the shooter. City school officials are now pushing to fire Schmude, who has been reassigned to administrative tasks. With Kerry Burke

The love of God is being shown in the actions of the Amish. I hope more Americans see the forgiveness that is being shown to Roberts's family in this tragic time in the lives of these Amish families.
We should take a cue from these people and let their actions convict our own hearts.

Grieving Amish raise money for killer's family

Amish residents of rural Lancaster County, Pa., have started a charity fund to help not only the victims' families – but also the mass-murderer's widow and children, reports the New York Times today. The killer, Charles Carl Roberts IV, 32, committed suicide at the end of Monday's attack, in which he shot 10 girls. Five of them, aged 7 to 13, died.

He said, "I don’t want to denigrate anybody else who says they're imitating Christ, but the Amish walk the walk as much as they talk the talk."

Added Huntington, "They know their children are going to heaven. They know their children are innocent ... and they know that they will join them in death. The hurt is very great," she told the Associated Press. "But they don't balance the hurt with hate."

Outgoing President Vicente Fox has called the fence plan "shameful" and compared it to the Berlin Wall. Fox has spent his six-year term lobbying for a new guest worker program and an amnesty for Mexicans working illegally in the United States.

President-elect Felipe Calderon, who takes office on Dec. 1, has also attacked the fence plans.

 "One could stop more migrants with a kilometer of new roads and development (in Mexico) than with a wall," he said Monday.

We need to stand up for our country and for our sovereignty. It was so cute last night my wife, who is not an American, said "how can America go to the galaxy, fight wars, but can not protect itself from illegal immigrants?" She also said if people came to her country illegally they would be quickly sent home, but no one wants to illegally come into her country, unless you are from North Korea. I ask myself that very same question. Is it the globalists? Is it our "friends" to the south? Why is America not enforcing its own laws? This all cheapens the American experience and makes us look stupid because we can not protect our own country. Not only that we are allowing people into our country who will not assimilate and will weaken our strength, just like Rome.

As others in the not so main stream media have been saying it is very suspicious that this information about Mark Foley comes to light. On yesterdays Bill O'Reilly, Bill interviewed the boy, or should I say man, who has brought these emails to light. As Bill rightly asked, why did it take so many years for this man to say anything? A good question indeed. WND is reporting that the Dems had a hit list of homosexual lawmakers who they were going to go after during the mid-term election. Was Foley wrong yes, but is there any proof that he had sex with any of these kids no. Sure I don't what a guy like this in my party, but I sure do not think this is a reason to shun the man and call for his resignation, which he did for himself. I do believe this was a hit job. On Hannity and Combs, it was brought up that a Dem had taken a teenage page, several years ago, on a trip and had sex with them, no outrage there, he still was in office. Another thing that I don't get is where are the outraged homosexuals? Usually they appear when one of their own is unfairly targeted and shunned. Way to go Sherwood Baptist Church of Albany, GA. They just released a new family friendly movie and it is showing Hollywood what real Amercians want. The movie which was released last week was only showing on 441 screens and grossed $1.4 million. It was made on a budget of $100k and stared volunteer actors. it was ranked number 12 in its first weekend, and 4th among the top 10 weekend films. Why would China want a gun that fires one million rounds per minuet? Why is China building more and more warships each year? Is it to go after Taiwan or someone bigger? I like Chinese people, but I sure do not trust their government. Today they are acting like our friends, to our face, while doing many underhanded things behind our backs. A story just released by the London Telegraph says that the Chinese government offered $100 million dollars, most of which was made by their slave labor who they call citizens from the products that we buy at Walmart, to Mike O'Dwyer the inventor of a new high speed gun called Metal Storm. Now why would China what this gun? Maybe to share with their friends in the US, maybe not.

Chinese secret agents have made repeated attempts to poach an Australian scientist behind the invention of a high-speed gun that could revolutionise warfare.

The gun with its electronic firing mechanism, called Metal Storm, was invented by Mike O'Dwyer, who is based in Brisbane.

He claimed this week that Chinese government agents offered him more than $100 million to move to China and work on the gun.

China was conducting a worldwide search for new military technology and it was no surprise it had targeted this new weapon, Mr Bostock said.

"I don't doubt for a moment that they'd try to poach it. They have a long and successful history of reverse engineering — acquiring kit from India or Russia or wherever, pulling it apart, and building their own version," he said.

I like Bill O'Reilly, I have most of his books and will be reviewing his new book Culture War, as soon as I an done reading it. I agree with most of his views, even though he is not a conservative, but on yesterdays show I must say Bill was wrong, dead wrong. The segment was about a Pastor who told his congregation that one of the people in the church was in sin and committing adultery. The Pastor is being sued by this women because she is embarrassed and her trust was broken. Well from my point of view if she was going to feel guilty and embarrassed by committing sin she should not have done it and when she did and was shown her sin she should have repented rather then hardening her heart. Anyway back to the show, Bill had the Pastors Lawyer on the show, the lawyer was from the Liberty Legal Institute. Bill asked, from his Catholic foundation, why the Pastor would tell the congregation that this person was committing adultery. Because in catholicism when you say something in confession that is it you are forgiven and that sin goes nowhere, not even to God. Anyway, the lawyer brings up a quote right from the mouth of Jesus, Mat. 18:15-17. The lawyer paraphrased, and Bill wanted the entire quote. The lawyer pointed out that Jesus says that the way to bring sin to someone is first one to one, if they do not repent go with two or three, if they still do not repent and turn to God then tell the Church, which is what the Pastor did. Bill wanted the exact quote from the bible which the Lawyer did not have and Bill flat out said, "I don't believe that". Here is the link to the clip Fox News
Wow Bill that is a bold statement, especially before you verified what the lawyer was saying with what Jesus said in the Bible. That ticked me off so much, and what was even more funny was the lawyers reaction, I think he was waiting for Bill to be struck down with lightning, but it did not happen.
This shows where Bill stands on issues of the Bible. Don't get me wrong, I still like Bill and think he is doing good, too bad there will be many good people in hades. I was so moved by the lawyers comments and poise that I checked out his group and will support what they are doing. Ok I must ask the question, what is up with these nut jobs walking into schools and start killing children. I mean this is an epidemic. 3 school shootings in 5 days is not normal, maybe 3 in a year but come on what is going on in our society? Why are people who want to kill themselves, which I don't have much of a problem with if they are that stupid, must go and take innocent children with them into eternity. Is it what is portrayed on TV, is it because they see others doing it, what is the problem here?
I feel really bad for the 8 children shot yesterday at the Amish school. I was raised in PA and the Amish are some of the most peaceful people I have ever meet. I know you are outraged too and I respectfully request that those who are reading this pray for those who have been impacted by these and all school shootings in America, also pray that God protects our country from these animals.
Please pray for repentance in America, we need a revival, like the revivals of the late 1800's. If we do not see people in our country turning their ways to the Lord we are all doomed, which may be the plan, but God does listen and answers prayers. It is not only these school shootings that are showing where our country is going, just check out Romans chapter 1. We are Rome, so the only question we can ask is how long will Rome last before being destroyed by the barbarians, because they were already destroyed from within.  

A radio station in Minneapolis apologizes for a skit they did no their station which made fun of Islamic terrorists called Muslim Jeopardy. There was an outrage from our friends, not, at CAIR and forced the station to apologize for the skit. I never heard of any Christian or Jewish group getting mad and forcing a station to apologize for making fun of their religion. I thought we lived in a country of free speech? And what about these issues being true, that is why it is so funny. Anyway the point is that other groups don't do this so why do we need to bow down to Muslim groups for people making fun of their folly?

The skit also included a threat to behead a female host when she got an answer wrong, CAIR said.
