Aloha, it is another beautiful day in paradise and another hard day to
be a conservative in Hawaii, and America for that matter. Today I
wanted to touch on one of the biggest issues impacting our society,
illegal immigration. There is so much to say about this issue that it
could fill volumes. Soon, as soon as I am done reading it, I will be
doing a review on Rep. Tom Tancredo's book In Mortal Danger published
by WND. But today I wanted to recount an experience I had yesterday.
In
my line of work I help many people with their finances, I can not go
into too much detail other that that. Yesterday a couple came in my
work to open an account. They did not speak a lick of English, but I
must do my job and try my hardest to help the customers. They provided
me with their Mexico passport and a US Visa, issued by Dept. of
Homeland inSecurity. I knew there was going to be a problem since they
do not have ss# and their Visa does not allow them to work in the US. I
went to the compliance department and they asked me to fax a copy of
the ID which I did. Then I received a call back and was told that their
Visa only allows them to be 25 miles with in the border, 25 miles!!!! I
told them, as best as I could since I am an American and only speak
English, that we could not open an account for them because they are
not allowed to be in Hawaii, over 3000 miles away from the border. I
was nice and do my best to stay professional, but it really makes me
mad. Not at them, well only a little bit, but at our government. My
question is, since there is over 3000 miles of ocean between us and the
land of fruits and nuts, oh that means CA, how did these people, and
countless others, get to Hawaii? A person must buy a plain ticket, ok
that is easy, but then they go to the airport and a TSA employee, part
of DHS, reviews their documents before they can get on the plane,
right? Well should they know that this Visa only allows them to be with
in 25 miles of the border? Why is it my job to scare them off, which
does not do anything because they keep coming. I have an even wilder
story that happened today but it is not finished, yet.
Our
government should be protecting our borders. Personally, I love
immigration, I love immigrants, legal ones. My wife is an immigrant, I
know the process to come to America it is hard, but if she were Mexican
or had money we could get here no problem, rather then waiting one year
and going through the interviews, and a lifetime of them for that
matter. It is not fair for people who come here legally to not be tough
on those who do not. It is called illegal immigration for a reason,
they are breaking our law. Then what, when they get here we allow them
to stay and use our services. They do not assimilate when they come
here illegally. The left tries, as always, to spin the truth by calling
them undocumented workers, that is not the truth they got documents but
they are fake, or they overstayed their visa. It is more then
protecting our way of life it is also to protect those who came here
legally, and also to protect us from those who want to harm our way of
life. We need to stand up to our own government who is doing nothing
about this problem, and there are many reasons for that. The first
reason is because they don't want to alienate Mexican American voters,
next reason is the brainwashing of our country in mulitculturlisim, and
finally because there are many in positions of power who want a united
North American Union, it is not working for Europe it won't work for us
either. Well now that I have had my rant for the day, what do you have
to say? I put in my 2 cents it is your turn to put in yours, and maybe
just maybe we can all pitch in our 2 cents and build a wall!!!
